Background:
Don’t put God into a box,
God will never fit,
But your idea of what God can do
will shrink to fit,
that box.
Don’t put yourself into a box,
You will fit quite well,
But if that box is safely closed
you won’t grow,
in that box.
God is immeasurably greater in every way than we can comprehend and yet in an attempt to understand God we try to define God. The Bible tells us many things about what God has done, about the nature of God, about what God can and will do, none of those things should be dismissed as flukes of nature.
It doesn’t really matter how God parted the red sea, scientists continue to offer us explanations, but it is the fact that it did happen... at exactly the time it was needed. What I keep reminding myself is that in this modern world of rational explanations for miracles God can and does still act in mighty ways.
We, with God’s help can do amazing things! Let God out of the box, break out of your box and see what you can do together!
