A Knotwork Day will give the opportunity to learn how to do the freehand style of celtic knotwork that Mary has developed in her work over the last decade. After learning the basics there will be an opportunity to learn techniques of embellishment and decoration inspired by the Lindisfarne Gospels and other illuminated manuscripts.

Materials will be provided but please feel free to bring favourite pens and paper if you wish.

The cost will be £60 per person for a 6 hour 'day', this is payable in advance as a web purchase or by cheque, gift vouchers can also be bought to the amount of a 'day'.  The fee will include the use of materials, tea, coffee and biscuits, and a simple lunch (please let us know of any allergies beforehand).

Places are limited to five people per day as the workshops will be held at Farne House, the home of Lindisfarne Scriptorium.

N.B. We reserve the right to cancel any Knotwork days not adequately subscribed (less than 3 people booking) and your payment will be refunded in full. We regret that refunds for cancellation cannot be given after the closing date for applications, as shown for each workshop.
